Mitthu Ki Pathshala
“Mitthu ki Pathshala” is a single classroom program that leverages non-conventional and informal teaching systems with the help of volunteers to help educate children from underprivileged sections of the society. We hope this initiative will spark enthusiasm in kids for further continued learning at the grass-root level.
Volunteers who are registered as teachers as part of this program are encouraged to assemble a group of children who are currently not enrolled in any formal education system and help teach basics of education through regular classes/sessions. While there are no dedicated locations for these, we expect volunteers to conduct classes closer to where the children reside thus reducing any barriers of entry to kids who are interested in learning. We expect each pathshala to teach approx 15-20 children in multiple 2-hr sessions.
As part of this effort, Dr. Garima Singh Foundation is providing books, school bags and necessary stationery for both the volunteers and children as required.
Please watch out this space for more updates and pictures on this program. If you are interested in contributing to this initiative, please reach out to us.
